The Food & Agriculture category awards individuals who are creating different and innovative processes or products within the food and agriculture sector. This can encompass farming, restaurants, viticulture, genetics, breeding, environmental management, crop production, industrial use of crops and other products (such as biodegradable plastics, vegetable oil or biofuels) or other environmental uses. The focus could be on manufacturing and/or processing techniques as well as marketing and branding.
